SHOCK OF THE NEW - INTRO
On the 02/10/14 we were asked to find an interest regarding the modern movement within architecture.
The interest I chose was 'Woodskin: The Flexible Timber Skin', created by the Milan based design studio, MammaFotogramma. It is comprised of triangular tiles of Russian Plywood that allow complex shapes. Please visit the links below for further information.

I have always had an interest in facade systems and I think this would be visually appealing as a facade. However it is only viable for interior/product use. I think this would be amazing if it could be adapted for exterior use as well.
My on-going research will be to find a similar product that could be used as an exterior facade system whether it is wood or not.
