Indeed it has been a very long time since I have posted...anyway lets not waste anymore time with the excuses...on with the good stuff!
ALL HANDS ON DECK!
As part of the design project the class was asked to organise ourselves as a studio to create a 1:100 model of Senate House. A handful of the class including myself offered to help... Thankfully a class peer had created a model in SketchUp which he so kindly gave to us to use! (This had saved us humungous amounts of time)

However, even though we had this file we still had plenty of work to be done! The first being to manage people with a task. Needless to say it was very interesting to keep tabs with what was going on.
In the end we had decided that someone was to manage the Cad files to convert the lines to red or yellow depending whether they were to be cut or engraved, a group of people to supervise the laser cutting and a whole bunch of us to do the glueing.

All I can say is that things took a lot longer than expected, especially when we started running out of card! Nevertheless I have learnt a great many things from this task, one popular one comes to mind... Think before you glue!
