EXTRAS - GREYFRIARS BUS STATION

On March 15th Northampton witnessed the joyous occasion of the demolition of Greyfriars bus station, 'dubbed Northampton's 'Mouth of Hell' by designer and presenter, Kevin McCloud.'

Crowds formed where they could at safe distances to watch as the monstrosity fell to its knees. I must say I am glad to see it go! As well as it being an eyesore it was absolutley freezing inside ... First year travelling to uni was not fun!

It is wonderful now that it has gone, I can see the horizon! ... I must admit though I felt disorientated the first time I walked by, thinking, 'have I gone the right way?' ... Silly me!
